Adventure Force V. Rival. The Conflict Expands

Reddit user LUOFY034 found a great find on Walmart’s website earlier today. This shows that Prime Time Toys venture into ball blasting is proving successful. Two new blasters will be added to the Adventure Force line, which is Walmarts in-house brand for many toys like Stats Blast and Air Zone. They won’t be as innovative as the Nerf blasters, but they will be cheaper.

Tactical Strike Accelerator

According to the Walmart entry:

Get ready for an explosive match with the fully motorized Adventure Force Tactical Strike Accellerator! Choose the red squad or blue squad team color marker to easily track the competition in the heat of battle. The Accelerator launches Tactical Strike foam rounds up to 100 FPS (feet per second). The Ammo Hopper auto feeds 25 rounds into the Accelerator, which holds 25 rounds. Tactical Strike rounds work with all Tactical Strike blasters and most standard Nerf Rival Blasters. Mask sold separately. Recommended for Ages 14+.

Includes:

  • 1 Tactical Strike Accelerator Blaster
  • 1 25-Round Ammo Hopper
  • 2 Customizable Team Colour Markers (1 Red Squad, 1 Blue Squad).
  • 25 Tactical Strike Rounds
  • Motorized FlyWheels: Trigger Lock and Rev-Trigger
  • Requires 6 D batteries (not included) or compatible with Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack. Battery Pack sold separately
  • Tactical Strike rounds arecompatible with all Tactical Strike ball blasters & most standard Nerf Rival Blasters.
  • Ages 14+

I find it insanely interesting that Prime Time Toys, while ensuring compatibility in ammo and parts, is shying away from mags in favor of hoppers. In this case, their version of the Zeus holds 25 rounds. It will even use the same Nerf-branded rechargeable battery, if you have one. The team colors method seems inadequate, since most people are going to be focused on the green color of the blaster, but its still a nice touch. You can load magazines if you have them, of course. They’ll be visible at the blaster’s top.

I like how they placed the tac rail off at an angle to accommodate for the hopper. At least, someone noticed it during the design phase.

Tactical Strike Titanium

The Adventure Force Tactical Strike Titanium ball bomber is available in a variety of colors. Tactical Strike foam rounds can be launched by the Titanium at speeds up to 100 feet per second (feet). Eight foam rounds can be stored in the Quick-Load Hopper. The blaster’s pump-action mechanism cycles through rounds in as fast as you can pull the tactical grip slide back and release the trigger. Tactical Strike rounds work with all Adventure Force Tactical Strike blasters and most standard Nerf Rival Blasters. Masks sold separately. Recommended for Ages 14+

Included:

  • 1 Tactical Strike Titanium Ball Blast
  • 1 8-Round Ammo Hopper
  • 8 Tactical Strike Rounds
  • 2 Customizable Team Color Markers (1 Red Squad and 1 Blue Squad)
  • Trigger-Lock
  • Tactical Strike rounds arecompatible with all Tactical Strike ball blasters & most standard Nerf Rival Blasters.
  • Ages 14+

Unsurprisingly, its a revamped version of the Powerball thats been on Target shelves the past few months. If the original is any indication, this one should work just as well. It would be great if the 25-round hopper of the Accelerator was compatible with Titanium.

Again, thanks to LUOFY034 over on Reddit for spotting these. Im excited to see some solid competition in more than just dart blasters. A full line of blasters challenging Rival (with the backing of Walmart) should hopefully push for better blasters all around.
